ABOUT
Hi! My name is David!
Growing up in Barcelona by the shores of the Mediterranean gifted me with an eternal love for the sea and all its creatures. For as long as I can remember, I have spent more time underwater than on the surface. I practiced as a veterinarian in Spain, but it was a move to Baja California Sur, Mexico where I had the opportunity to follow my dream of working towards ocean conservation and capture its importance with my camera. My pathway of underwater photography and videography was embedded within me here.
My primary intention with videography is to promote messages of marine conservation to help protect the oceans that give life to us all. Through my images, I hope to show unique and important aspects of the underwater world that contribute to a better understanding of the ocean, its role on this planet and the sustainability of all life.

I have been honoured to be a Backscatter Video Photo Pro at Nautilus Liveaboards, working in the Revillagigedo Archipelago (Socorro Islands), Guadalupe and the Sea of Cortez, three of the most incredible places I have ever seen in my life.
During my time in Baja, from 2018 to 2022, I was honoured to be a Backscatter Video Photo Pro at Nautilus Liveaboards, working in the Revillagigedo Archipelago (Socorro Islands), Guadalupe and the Sea of Cortez, three of the most incredible places I have ever seen in my life.
In 2023, I returned home to Spain, where most of my work has been for natural history and conservation productions, working as an underwater camera operator as well as a drone and topside operator. Over the past two years, we’ve built our own production company, NOART STUDIOS, alongside very talented people. Together, we focus on creating impactful films about the ocean, science, research and conservation.
I continue to work every day to improve my skills and pursue opportunities with leading natural history production companies, while developing my own documentary projects around stories that captivate me and deserve to be told.
Having had the opportunity to work in some extraordinary places and be part of remarkable productions, I’ve been fortunate to see my work featured in natural history documentaries such as Blue Planet III, narrated by Sir David Attenborough, and The Americas, narrated by Tom Hanks, among others.
